BIO follows - Michelle Rider

Michelle Rider has over 15 years experience in marketing and management. She has been a leader and helped develop marketing strategies for health and consumer-related Fortune 500 companies including; Abbott Labs, Alberto Culver, Kaiser Permanente, and Coca-Cola. Michelle has also served as a Marketing Instructor at the School of Business at the University of California at Berkeley, and guest speaker at several Employee Resource Group organizations including Clorox, Well Fargo, and Texas Instruments.

Currently, Michelle leads the Affinity Marketing Group at Aetna, Inc. She is responsible for the developing new product marketing strategies including: Launch of mobile health care Apps for consumers and employer groups; Delivering national employer engagement marketing plans and initiatives; and developing content marketing platforms. Michelle received her BA in Economics from San Jose State University in California. She received her MBA in Marketing and Management Strategy from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University.

In addition to her active corporate role, Michelle is an entrepreneur and owner of Inspired Redesign (www.inspiredredesign.com), an interior decorating firm which serves residential and commercial clients. Michelle generously donates her time to nonprofit boards and committees. She has served in a volunteer capacity for several organizations including as the President of the National Black MBA Association San Francisco Chapter, Board of Directors for Speak to me.org, and Marketing Committee for Dwell with Dignity, She is also an active member of the Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority which is an organization dedicated to community, service and family.

Michelle’s business and marketing expertise has been featured in articles written in USA Today, The Oak Park Journal, Glamour Magazine and the San Francisco Business Journal.

Michelle has been honored for many awards including: top 100 women in San Francisco, Dallas Business Journal Top 50 Influential Women in Dallas, and Congressional Recognition from Congresswoman Barbara Lee for Community Service, and the American Marketing Association DFW Digital Marketer of the Year.

Michelle and her family reside in Dallas, Texas.
